Each graduate who wants to become a student of one of the universities of the Russian Federation in 2018 faces a difficult task - to successfully pass the exam, as well as choose the right educational institution and faculty for submission of documents. The majority of 11th graders and their parents are faced with the final exam grading system for the first time and often find it difficult to find answers to the questions that arise. Therefore, we decided to shed light on important points.
In 2017-2018, the basic rules for passing the exam will not be significantly changed. This means that the 100-point system for grading final tests will still be relevant for graduates.
In the course of checking the examination papers, for each correctly completed task, the graduate is credited with the so-called “primary points”, which, upon completion of the work check, are summed up and converted into a “test score”, which is indicated in the USE certificate.
Important! Since 2009, the scale for converting primary and test USE scores into traditional five-point grades for schools has not been officially used, because in 2017 and 2018 final exams are not included in the certificate.
Checking work is done in two ways:
It is quite difficult to challenge the result of an automatic check. If the basic rules were not followed when filling out the answer table, the computer may not protect the result, and only the graduate himself, who did not follow a number of mandatory rules, will be to blame for this.
If controversial issues arise during the expert review, a third specialist is involved, whose opinion will be decisive.
The following time limits apply by law:
In practice, from the moment of passing the exam to receiving the official result, it can take from 8 to 14 days.
Despite the fact that officially in 2018 the scale for converting scores in USE subjects into a five-point grade is not used, many still want to interpret their result in a more familiar “school” system. To do this, you can use special tables or online calculators.

The second method is a little easier and more convenient than searching for the desired values in the cells of a huge table. It is enough just to choose a subject (mathematics, Russian, chemistry, physics, history, English language, social studies ... and other subjects), enter data and get the desired result in a matter of seconds.
We suggest trying how simple and convenient it is to use in practice the online calculators of the USE score and its conversion to a 5-point grade.
Transfer of points from primary to test
Converting USE scores to grades
The academic year 2017-2018 is over, the exam has been passed, the results are known and even an interactive translation scale primary points showed that the result of the Unified State Exam is in a fairly good range ... But, is this enough to enter the desired university?
Assess the real chances of entry, based on test scores and the minimum passing threshold set by the university.
Important! The minimum passing score is formed by the university itself. It will directly depend on the scores of applicants who apply in 2018. The more popular the specialty, the higher the passing score will be.
Often, at the TOP faculties, even 100-point results are not enough for admission to the budget. Only winners of the Olympiads, who give significant additional points, have a chance to see their last name in the lists of applicants for such areas.
In 2018, the most popular services for selecting a university and monitoring the entrance score threshold for various specialties will be:
Finding these services is very easy. It is enough to enter their name into any search engine.

The total number of examinees in 2018 was more than 49 thousand people, which is higher than in 2017 and 2016. These data indicate a certain stability in the choice of the USE in literature by graduates entering universities of the corresponding profile.
The average test score in 2018 was 61.4, slightly higher than in 2017 (59.6) and 2016 (57.9).
The most numerous are the groups of examinees who received 41-60 and 61-80 TB. (32% and 43% of participants, respectively). The group of high scorers makes up about 15% of the total number of participants.
In comparison with 2017, in 2018 the share of examinees with results in the range of low (21–40) and medium (41–60) points decreased. The trend towards an increase in the proportion of well-trained participants with results of 61–80 t.b. (an increase of 3%), which, in particular, is associated with a trend towards improving the quality of teaching the subject "Literature" in the context of the introduction of the final essay.
The minimum primary score of the USE in 2018 was 15 p.b. The share of graduates who did not score the minimum number of points in 2018 is 5.2%.
Analysis USE results 2018 confirms the preservation of the measuring properties of the examination model and allows us to state that the degree of complexity of the KIM tasks is generally adequate to the cognitive capabilities of the examinees and makes it possible to differentiate them for admission to universities with different requirements for the level of preparation in literature.

Pupils to take exams at the end of school. Now only about 5% of graduates pass it. This is because literature is needed for admission to not the most popular specialties: philologist, linguist and teacher of Russian and literature.
Prior to the introduction of the Unified State Examination, literature was necessarily handed over at the end of school in the form of an essay and the mark was given in two subjects at once: literature - for the quality of the text and the disclosure of the main idea, one's own opinion and knowledge of the opinions of critics, and in Russian - for the absence of errors.
Read the general information about the exam and start preparing. Compared to last year, the KIM USE 2019 version has changed. Now in task 17 you have to choose one essay topic out of four (it was out of three). The maximum primary score for the entire test has been greatly increased - from 42 to 57. The rest of the changes are not very serious, you can familiarize.
Last year, in order to pass the Unified State Examination in Literature, at least for a three, it was enough to score 32 primary points. They were given, for example, for correctly completed tasks No. 1-7, 10 and 11.
How it will be in 2019 is still not known for sure: you need to wait for an official order from Rosobrnadzor on the correspondence of primary and test scores. Most likely it will appear in December. Given that the maximum primary score has increased greatly, it is very likely that the minimum score may also change. Let's take a look at these tables:
In 2019, the USE test in literature consists of two parts, including 17 tasks.

Indication of the volume is conditional; the score of the answer depends on its pithiness (with deep knowledge, the examinee cananswer in a larger volume, with the ability to accurately formulate your thoughtsthe examinee can answer quite fully in a smaller volume).
If Criterion 1 (“Compliance of the answer with the task”) is set to 0 points, the task is considered failed and is not checked further. Byother criteria in the "Protocol for checking answers to tasks" form No. 20 points are given.
If according to Criterion 2 (“Involving the text of the work for argumentation ”) is given 0 points, then according to Criterion 3 (“ Logic and compliance with speech norms ”) the work is not evaluated, in the “Protocolverification of answers to tasks ”of form No. 2 according to Criterion 3 is set 0 points.

* The rules for counting words are the same as the rules for the Unified State Examination in the Russian language: “When counting words, both independent and service parts of speech are taken into account. Any sequence of words written without a space is counted (for example, "after all" - one word, "yet" - two words). Initials with a surname are considered one word (for example, "M.Yu. Lermontov" - one word). Any other characters, in particular numbers, are not taken into account when calculating (for example, "5 years" - one word, "five years" - two words).
